Division 04 Masonry · Division 07 Moisture Protection

Masonry restoration, waterproofing, joint sealing, water repellent and deck coatings for New Orleans buildings

Water does not care which trade owns the wall. It finds the open joint, the dry glazing, the cracked deck, the roof edge. Paramount works the whole building envelope, so one crew and one written scope can follow the water from the parapet to the foundation. Masonry sits in Division 04. Everything that keeps moisture out sits in Division 07. Below, each service is keyed to the place it closes on the elevation drawing.

How a job starts

A look at the wall comes before a number

For masonry restoration, Paramount offers a complimentary site visit. Someone walks the building, looks at the joints, the lintels, the glazing and the roof edge, and finds where the water is actually getting in. Call or text 504-723-4112, or send the address and what you are seeing, and the office calls back to set the time.

The visit ends in a written scope. No two walls fail the same way, which is why there is no price list: a church with rusted lintels and a parking garage with a dead expansion joint need different work, in a different order. Repairs and repointing come first, and the repellent or coating goes on last, over a sound wall.

Most of this work happens around people. The Holiday Inn on the Westbank Expressway stayed open through its facade remediation, and a rental owner wrote that her tenants were not interrupted or disturbed. On historic buildings the same care extends to paperwork: Paramount has done work that needed PRC and HDLC approval, with the owner on site overseeing the crew.
